James Clarke is a self-described “serial intrapreneur” who operates at the intersection of creativity and disruptive technology. He currently serves as the Head of Media at Newell Brands, where he oversees national and retail media investment, audience planning, influencer marketing, and social media engagement for a global portfolio of brands including SHARPIE®, GRACO®, and YANKEE CANDLE®. Prior to joining Newell Brands in 2025, James spent nearly a decade at PepsiCo, most recently as the Senior Director of Digital Marketing and Social Media for PepsiCo Foods North America. His career also includes progressively senior leadership roles at Kraft Foods Group and Maple Leaf Foods.
Social media platforms are rapidly becoming full-scale commerce hubs, enabling seamless product discovery and purchase through features like shoppable posts, live shopping, and in-app checkout. This session explores how brands are using these tools, along with data-driven targeting and commerce media integration, to optimize campaign performance and increase ROI.
